One’s experience of the metaphysical world and energy healing is always very personal. No two experiences are ever alike. But the common denominator is a sense of awe and wonderment. And transcendentalism - the feeling of being transformed or profoundly changed. Realisation of the reality of the non material world, a world you can’t really see, touch and feel with your five senses. And disbelief followed by incredulity and bewilderment. Listen to this testimonial from my client.

In the Chinese astrological Year of the Rat, an unprecedented plague and public health crisis has descended on the human race and world population.
It is an unseen and silent enemy. A virus which does not discriminate against race, religion, nationality, ethnicity, social class and status. Like all other organisms, COVID-19 or the novel coronavirus – named for the crown-like spikes on its surface – has only one singular objective and relentless driving force which is to survive and thrive in a living host. The question on everyone’s mind across the world is when will this global pandemic come to end? When will we have access to a viable vaccine and effective cure? To understand that, we need to first delve into a scientific analysis. According to New Scientist, coronaviruses have extraordinarily large single-stranded RNA genomes – approximately 26,000 to 32,000 bases or RNA “letters” in length. Coronavirus particles are surrounded by a fatty outer layer called an envelope and usually appear spherical, as seen under an electron microscope, with a crown or “corona” of club-shaped spikes on their surface. They replicate their RNA genomes using enzymes called RNA-dependent RNA polymerases, which are prone to errors, but genomic analysis so far suggests that COVID-19 is mutating slowly, reducing the chance of it changing in order to become more deadly. There are currently no vaccines or specific drug treatments for coronaviruses but efforts to develop a vaccine are underway and HIV and Ebola drugs are being tested in people with COVID-19. The World Health Organization (WHO) has begun a trial of the most promising drugs including the long-used antimalarial drugs chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine, a new antiviral drug called remdesivir and a combination of two HIV drugs called lopinavir and ritonavir. The HIV drugs will also be tested in combination with an antiviral called interferon beta. As we have all seen, this is a deadly virus for which there is no vaccine and no cure - so far. It replicates very quickly and is more contagious than the common flu by at least three times. And it kills more readily with close to 5% death rate - climbing as I type this - as compared with the less than 1% for the common influenza. Health authorities worldwide acknowledge that the virus originated from a seafood market in Wuhan which sold wildlife and exotic animals for human consumption. It is believed to have jumped from an animal – the bat – through another intermediary animal – widely thought to be the scaly pangolin – to human hosts. In other words, this virus originated from mother nature itself. It is an organism and originated from organic sources. Some people believe, although this is a controversial view, that the coronavirus and its devastating effects and potential to decimate the world’s population is mother nature’s way of healing, rebalancing and restoring itself. There has been some recent evidence that suggests this theory may in fact be plausible. The level of pollution all around the world has fallen dramatically. The level of greenhouse gas emission is now lower and we now have a slight reprieve in our fight against the climate emergency. This is an unintended consequence of the global pandemic that has cast a spotlight on the polluting nature of fossil fuel-driven economies and given us a glimpse of what a cleaner and greener future may look like. Whether we subscribe to that polarising view is now immaterial because our attention and focus are trained on combating this deadly virus and saving lives and livelihoods. We are facing unprecedented times and challenges like never before. The COVID-19 pandemic has crippled the global financial market and economy, and nearly brought it to a standstill as more and more countries are compelled to close their borders and instruct their citizens to stay at home. Amid this calamity, we see heroic efforts to protect and preserve humanity. Many sectors have been critically impacted, predominantly the tourism, hospitality and services industry. And we are all reeling from the double whammy effect of an economic meltdown due to this crisis and poor consumer sentiments. The Italian Prime Minister, Giuseppe Conte, declared this as the most severe crisis since World War II. Desperate times call for desperate measures. All around the world, the COVID-19 global pandemic has claimed not just lives but also jobs and livelihoods. And it has also struck the heart and core of the way we live and interact with one another, and dramatically transformed our outlook and sentiments about the immediate and distant future. The interconnected and symbiotic global economy is facing the greatest turbulence in recent memory and history as stock markets crash and rebound again with constant unpredictability. Many companies are compelled to re-invent their operational and organisational structure, and deploy mitigation strategies ranging from work from home arrangements and team segregation to no-pay leave and even pay freezes and pay cuts. Some of you who are reading this belong to industries and sectors which are all trying to keep afloat amidst this phenomenal public health and economic crisis. Your jobs are on the line and your company is undergoing a sea change in order to weather this perfect storm. Survival of the fittest is the name of the game. And we all have to adjust and adapt to the new normal. My dear fellow beings, our resilience is being put to the ultimate test. We must muster our courage and strengthen our spirit to rise to the challenge, and face this turbulence head on. This is the time for us to unite our efforts and persevere as a collective force of change for good and recovery across the world. If we all band together, join hearts and hands, and make painful sacrifices to “flatten the curve” together, we will pull through this, and emerge stronger and more unified than before. Back to questions, “When will this global pandemic come to end?” and “When will we have access to a viable vaccine and effective cure?” What I envisage is this. Not for another year at least. And not until many more - millions - have perished, tragically. This is one of the rare times that I hope I am gravely wrong. A vow of celibacy; fear of death by being burned; fear of male figures and relatives; a lifetime of pious spiritual pursuit and devotion, and a gifted healer who is unaware of where her abilities originate.
These are some of the perplexing issues and concerns that I have helped my clients to resolve through past life regression. Where does it all come from? These deep-rooted fears, anxieties, neuroses, impulses and natural born abilities? Past life regression is conducted through a guided meditation and visualisation exercise which can last anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour and more. Nothing is required of them except an open mind, an interest and willingness to remove their mental and emotional inhibitions, and delve deeply into their significant past lives and experiences. I use the word “significant” because it is virtually impossible to revisit and relive every single past life nor is it necessary to do so. We set our intention clear at the start of the session to only excavate and experience the past lives which have moulded who we are today, and culminated in unlearned and unresolved soul lessons and karmic debt. At the outset, my client is taught how to do deep breathing throughout using the warrior’s breath - ujjayi in Sanskrit. I seek God’s protection and support throughout the process. My client and I traverse through fascinating and mesmerising terrains and landscapes together. With my aid, my client and I simultaneously see and sense different eras, geographies and environments and come into contact with significant individuals and connections from his or her past lives. In a recent session which was triggered by a cord cutting process, my client was curious to know why she resonated strongly with the idea of having taken a vow of celibacy in the past and having experienced a painful ordeal of death by burning. The first locale we visited together was a European village which had been razed to the ground by a deadly fire. It was winter and a woman who wore the convent habit tended to a church that had survived the fire. She lit the candles within and kept vigil. My client identified with the nun immediately and recognised it as herself. As she walked slowly through the dilapidated village and saw the church that she was tending to in great detail, fragments of information started to stream in bit by bit. The nun had lost her five year old son in the fire and felt the burden of guilt for having survived the fire. She took a vow of celibacy to rebuild the village. But thankfully she was not alone - there was a fellow survivor who was a local villager dressed in rugged brown garb. He didn’t speak much but he helped her with the chores and business of rebuilding the village. My client felt such intense sadness that she cried spontaneously. Her spirit guides appeared to assure her and give her strength - a deer and a wolf which she mistook for a goat and a dog initially. Another client from Croatia needed to understand why she had such a deep-seated fear of male authority figures in her life. Her father has always been stern and hard-fisted with her. And she married a man who is harsh and treats her unkindly. Nevertheless, she is a naturally gifted empath and communicates with angels and her spirit guides daily. Her aura radiated an illuminating and sparkling white light. During our past life regression together, we astral travelled to a monastery where she worked as a nun. She was given punishing and back-breaking chores by a priest who had a fierce countenance when he appeared. My client immediately recognised him as an abuser and the root cause of her inexplicable fear of male authority figures. The next past life that was revealed to her brought us to another locale and period in time. She was a healer in Europe at a time when women with healing abilities were burned at the stake as alleged witches. She performed rituals that drew on the elements of nature, and helped many people to heal and recover from their ailments. However, she did not escape the stigma of her time. Yet another client wanted to understand why he had taken a vow of celibacy and devoted himself to a lifetime of spiritual pursuit and singlehood. During our session, he revisited his past life as a young monk who led a secluded life while tending to the library of the Buddhist temple where he lived. He led a life of an ascetic and had few pleasures apart from meditating amid nature which gave him immense peace. His only emotional connection was with his mother who was very ill. As such, he made a vow of celibacy to tend to her health and purify his soul in order to gain merit for her recovery. The process of undergoing past life regression is immensely healing and epiphanic. Through reconnection with your past life experiences and selves, you can achieve greater self-awareness, restore the fragments of your soul, and attain healing on all levels – physical, emotional and spiritual. In the legend of the Atlantis, this mighty prehistoric city which was advanced and ahead of its time in all aspects, was submerged in a sudden and unprecedented natural catastrophe - an earthquake due to a volcanic eruption that shook the Aegean Sea to its foundation over 3600 years ago and left a massive caldera surrounded by volcanic ash deposits hundreds of metres deep.
Some historians and philosophers such as Socrates postulated that the present day Santorini, one of the most well-thronged and desirable holiday destinations in the world which attracts millions of tourists to its small island every year, is in fact Atlantis. I have always been fascinated by the idea that remnants of Atlantis - a well developed and spiritually enlightened city of its time - might be experienced in Santorini. Going to Santorini was a dream of mine which came to fruition recently. Santorini is, in fact, a remarkable island which pulsates with highly vibrational energy and radiates with magnetic appeal in all senses. Surrounded by the Aegean Sea which shimmers and sparkles with sapphire shine and lustre, and blessed with the bluest sky that merges seamlessly with the sea beneath, Santorini is a gem amid the Aegean Sea. The mostly white buildings nestled in the caldera - volcanic cliffs - of the island appear to be floating in a mist of fine shroud. Not only are they architectural feats, they are magnificent against the postcard perfect and bejewelled skyline. The food there using local produce and the wine which is cultivated from grapes that are grown on volcanic soil are unlike any other in the world - exquisite and transcendental to the five human senses. Walking through the Akrotiri, the archaeological site of a Minoan township that was destroyed and submerged by the devastating volcanic eruption, I picked up the energetic imprint of the early inhabitants of western civilisation as they went about their daily lives. They produced fine art that depicted their everyday experiences, and reflected their oneness and closeness with nature and the elements of the earth. Santorini is, to me, a spiritually charged and even sacred place with its deep reverence for Mother Nature, and the creator of heaven, earth and sea. On several nights during my stay there, I was visited by local spirits who pulled me by my hands and surrounded me, eager to share their stories with me. I was led on spellbinding and amazing astral travelling experiences which brought me to mysterious places full of light, colours and new sensations. Santorini is Atlantis. When our departed loved ones come forward in a reading, they are very keen and eager to demonstrate their presence to us and show evidence of their authenticity by sharing information about themselves which the medium cannot possibly know about in advance or isolation.
This happens almost each and every time I conduct a mediumship session for a client whose departed loved ones will reveal their physical attributes such as the way they wear their hair, their facial features, the colour of their skin, their height and size, and their attire, etc. Sometimes they will come carrying items that are significant or symbolic to the client like jewellery, utensils, books, etc. Clients who died of an illness will want to show me the cause of their death like a heart attack, respiratory diseases, gastrointestinal problems etc. And often, I feel the sensations and pain that they experienced prior to and at the point of death. While this isn’t pleasant for me, it helps my clients to understand in vivid terms as conveyed by me the symptoms and sensations that their deceased relatives had experienced. Clients whose relatives died a sudden or unexplained death want to know the underlying cause or causes of death. I will ask their deceased loved ones for the information and often they will show me signs such as shortness of breath or asphyxiation, cardiac arrest from a heart attack, etc. Our departed loved ones are also eager to come within close proximity. One of my clients saw me a few times in order to communicate with her mum. She died at an old age due to chronic ailments and had a reticent nature and would keep a brave front without complaining to her children about her afflictions. As a result, while they knew she experienced a great deal of pain at the point of her departure, they didn’t know it was prolonged and continuous pain in the final years of her life until she revealed it to me during the mediumship session. I described her physical appearance and personality traits with vivid detail to my client. Even her favourite food - a local Chinese cake which is popularly known as “gou” in Cantonese which is her dialect. And the fact that she likes tea and wishes her children would make an offering of tea to her. Her favourite spot in the garden of her son’s home. Where she could bask in the afternoon sun. In her last session with me, my client asked if her mum was with her dad who passed away long before her mum did. Indeed, he too came forward and I described him to her - high nose bridge and sharp features, I said. And her parents made a good looking couple. Her mum was a classic Chinese beauty with dainty features. My client later sent me a photo of her parents by email and told me I had described the pair with great accuracy. I asked her for permission to post the photo of her late parents together with this blog and she kindly acceded. My client cried during her last session, immensely moved by the experience of communicating with both her parents and feeling assured that they might not have spent their whole lives together but were at least together and united in their afterlives. Her mother moved forward, close enough to “touch” her and then leaned over to hug her. I told my client that I could see her mother doing that as if to make physical contact with her. Her tears flowed freely and her eyes glistened with love and affection for her deceased mother. I had the rare and precious opportunity of meeting an indigo child recently, and working with him to remove a spirit attachment, purge his aura and energy of negativity, and reverse some of the ill-considered decisions that he had made unknowingly while ignorant about his abilities. Indigo children are highly gifted, intuitive, sensitive and intelligent. Oftentimes, they think in unconventional ways and approach life with an unusual mind and uncanny solutions. They are often misunderstood and feel isolated because nobody seems to be able to empathise and understand them nor connect and communicate with them fully. Apart from prophetic visions and psychic ability, they sometimes see and/or feel spirits and can communicate with them. There are many debates about when indigo children began to surface but documentation of this phenomenon dates back to the 1970s. Indigo children are still born today and many are misdiagnosed as having behavioural problems or having special needs. Alternatively referred to as rainbow or crystal children, they either grow up feeling and being lost, disoriented, depressed and dislocated from their family, friends and community, or their path leads them to catalytic psychic development and enhanced evolution of their consciousness. Some spiritualists believe that indigo children are here to reconnect humanity with their collective consciousness and oneness with the universe which was a natural and symbiotic relationship that existed before humankind rejected spiritualism and retreated into individualism and focused on the self, the ego, rationality and the intellect. They believe that indigo children are help to help us to evolve and move towards a higher level of consciousness. And the primary purpose for the Indigo children is to challenge our way of thinking, free us from our self-imposed limitations and break down our obsolete and self-sabotaging habits and beliefs. The client whom I helped is already at the cusp of adulthood. His aura is the colour of pure white light and deep purple – he is highly intuitive and he can feel and sense spirits as a clairsentient. His parents, who were present throughout our session, told me that since he was a baby he could sense malevolent spirits. They described how he cried incessantly when they brought him to a chalet overnight, and had to hurry home to appease his crying. And how this continued throughout his growing up years. But throughout his life, he has been withdrawn and circumspect, emotionally volatile, somewhat depressed and angry with the world. He inadvertently plunged himself into the world of Satanism and made a pledge with the dark forces when he was younger but quickly regretted it and turned to Christianity and God for help. He prays and meditates, and has an insatiable inquisitiveness about chakras, world religions, Egyptian mythology and ancient wisdom. At one stage, after the human ascension and dimensional shift in 2012, he found himself flipping through the newspapers and landing on an article about a teenaged girl who had committed suicide and died under violent circumstances. He felt an immediate affinity with her, and before long, started to communicate and foster a close bond with her. My client was convinced that his relationship with the spirit of the deceased teenaged girl was beyond platonic and he maintained that relationship for over five years. He was also convinced that she was his link to the world of spirits and spirit guides, and she had been his spirit protector and counsellor. When he came to see me together with his parents, he was insistent that I did not try to send the spirit to the other realm and the portal of light. But his concerned parents had a different perspective saying that the relationship was causing severe emotional and behavioural issues. We initially agreed to remove the residual effects of the pledge that he had made with the dark forces and I suggested that we sought the spirit’s view on whether she should be sent to the portal of light. Still resistant to the idea, my client started to question whether God was really his dominant spirit guide. I asked God for a sign and he showed me a vision of himself draping a blanket or a coat over my client’s back and it was in the shade of a blue-green or aquamarine colour. I asked my client if that colour which was an intriguing and unusual hue resonated with him, and he was stunned when he told me, “That’s my favourite colour”. He then gave me permission to communicate with the spirit. Interestingly, the first thing that she showed me was that her love for him is that of sibling’s love. I tried to convey this to my client but he refused to accept the information. I then told him an important piece of information that he hadn’t revealed to me. I said to him, she’s two years older than you, isn’t she? That got his attention. I continued and said being two years older, she is more mature, and she has known all along that it is impossible for you to have a relationship while you are separated by death. Her feelings for him were of an older sister. My client fell silent after that and I could sense his internal struggle. I then asked him to recline on the therapy bed in my office while his parents sat down nearby, and I invited angels and the universe to envelope him in their protective and pure white light while I helped him to remove the negative energy that he had been harbouring. During that process, it dawned about my client that it would be a humane and kind act for him to release her spirit into the portal of light to free her from being trapped as a spirit in this realm and end her suffering from having to relive her pain and regret of committing suicide. And so they parted ways and I sent her with compassion and loving energy into the other realm. And we both saw that she grinned broadly as she departed into the dazzling portal of light. And we were comforted. As for my client, his soul journey continues. And he will need to reconcile with his parents, heal from within, and undergo psychic development training to learn how to optimally harness and channel his special abilities, and employ them not just for his own benefit but also for the benefit of others. I will always remember – the indelible memory is seared into my consciousness – my first encounter with angels.
I was crying while meditating in my bedroom. It was my husband’s birthday and he was in a comatose state. He was involved in a motorcycle accident that left him in a coma for three months. The prognosis by the doctors who were among the best in Australia was bleak. I was advised to move on. Yet I refused to accept that. I was learning Reiki in Singapore and then the United States to send distance healing energy to my husband who was hospitalised in Australia. I was praying to God every day. On the night of my husband’s birthday, I saw them for the first time in my life. There were three of them and they surrounded me in my bed. They were iridescent beings and extraordinarily beautiful – more beautiful than anything I had ever laid eyes on. Their skin was the colour of peach and glowing. They appeared to have wings but those were the outline of their brilliant and ultra bright aura. In the Christian bible, only two types of angels have wings: cherubim (Exodus 25:20; Ezekiel 10) and seraphim (Isaiah 6). They were wearing loose flowing garments that seemed to be lighted up from within with exquisite whiteness, and an otherworldly shine and shimmer. And I also noticed that they were rather androgynous – I couldn’t tell if they were male or female. The expression on their faces was the most compassionate and benign that I have ever encountered. I experienced an instant wave of peace and comfort sweep over me, and I was cocooned in the most loving embrace that was not of this world. They continued to hover over me until I felt a strong and reassuring grip on my wrists – it was as if one of the angels had gripped my hands to remind me that they were protecting and watching over me. That I wouldn’t fall and they were there to support and galvanise me. The next time that I would feel that strong and uncompromising grip again was when I embarked on a past life regression through time and space, and felt some fear and apprehension as I whizzed past foreign landscapes at an incredible speed and height. I felt the grip of an angel who spoke to me and said do not fear, you are safe with me. I thanked them earnestly with tears rolling down my face and when they left, I felt immense calm and indescribable joy. I had a vision of my husband returning to me – healed and whole again. And I saw our life together in the future which has since become an everyday reality. From then on, I have had daily contact with angels. Archangel Michael – the Chief of Angels – comes immediately to my aid and protection when I call upon him, whether for myself, my loved ones or my clients, and I feel and see with my mind’s eye his luminous and dazzling white and blue light. Archangel Raphael – whose name means God heals – appears just as quickly with his healing green light which washes over gently as it soothes and restores all ailing beings. Archangel Gabriel whose name literally translates as “God is my strength”. They are the only three angels who are mentioned by name in the Bible. Our guardian angels are always waiting close by to help but they always need explicit permission from us before they can assist or intervene. To ask for angelic help, you only need to vocalise a simple prayer in your own words. As with every angel prayer, always start your prayer with ‘please’ and always end it with ‘thank you’ and add as many details as you need to mention. If you need help within a particular timeframe, then it is important for the angels to know this. I often get requests from my clients to help them to connect and communicate with their spirit guides. Some are remarkably surprised when they encounter their animal guides during the process.
Most recently, while undergoing the process with a client, I saw a curious looking animal peering through and it had the head of a deer with strong and well-defined antlers, and a sharp chin, big eyes and chiselled features. And it had a serene, soft and compassionate face, and exuded zen-like peace, composure, kindness and wisdom. But when it turned to leave, its body rippled with strength, and it had the back of a horse and flashed a long and lustrous tail similar to that of a horse. I was most perplexed because I had never seen an animal that looked like that. When the session was over, my client looked at me with awe and wonder, and asked me if I had seen the animal spirit guide that appeared to him. I said a tentative yes because I wasn’t quite sure what I had seen and couldn’t really classify it. Nevertheless, I described the physical appearance and characteristics of the animal spirit with as much accuracy as I could, and I noticed my client’s eyes widening. He told me he saw its face as well and then its long tail. It turned out that my client had seen the animal in a documentary show and recognised it to be a 四不像 or "a creature unlike any of the four." He only knew the Chinese version of the animal’s name and not much else but he sensed the presence of his animal spirit guide as being protective and reassuring. Intrigued by the curious being that I had seen, I dug deeper and researched this. To my surprise, this animal is the Pere David’s deer which, according to Chinese legend, dates back to more than 3,000 years ago to the time of King Zhou of Shang. As the legend has it, an ox, a donkey, a horse and a deer went into a cave deep into the forest to meditate on the day that the tyrannical King executed his virtuous minister, Bigan. The animals awoke from their meditation and turned into humans. They learned of the King's heinous acts and wanted to bring him to justice. So they transformed themselves into one creature that combined the speed of the horse, the strength of the ox, the donkey's keen sense of direction and the nimble agility of the deer. This new hybrid animal galloped to the Kunlun Mountains to seek the advice of the Primeval Lord of Heaven. Astonished by the sight of this creature which had the antlers of a deer, hooves of an ox, face of a horse and tail of a donkey, the Lord of Heaven exclaimed, "It's unlike any of the four creatures". After learning about the animal's mission, he bestowed his blessings and sent the creature to his disciple, Jiang Ziya, who was battling the King. Jiang Ziya rode the creature to victory over the King and helped to establish the Zhou Dynasty. After achieving its quest, the creature settled in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River and became a symbol of good fortune. It was absolutely fascinating and not a coincidence at all for this animal spirit to be one of my client’s guides. In fact, my client’s name is David! It’s predestination. And the 四不象 or Pere David’s Deer represents justice and standing up for what’s right - which is what my client does naturally. And it also has a strong protection instinct which is why my client, despite being highly intuitive and having the ability to sense spirits, has never had a single psychic attack. What this eye-opening example illustrates is that animal spirit guides, interchangeably referred to as power animals or totems are all real animals eg wolf, tiger, owl, etc. These animals become spirit guides in the spirit realm. Animal spirit guides are a reflection of your deepest self and they resonate with you at your authentic soul level. They work from beyond the veil and the physical domain to empower you and help you stay in tune with your true self, your soul and inner psyche. They also offer healing, supreme and gentle guidance, protection, enable you to live harmoniously with the sky and earth, overcome fear and develop the qualities that they embody and acquire their positive attributes of being wise, strong, fearless, intuitive, etc. Work with your animal guides to develop balance in your life and growth in your personal path. They can appear in your dreams, your visions and during meditation and even in real life through direct encounters. I first met my animal spirit guide in my dreams. It was a recurrent dream. I was lost in an unknown environment and as fear began to take hold of me, I encountered a wolf which had the most piercing gaze and intense strength emanating from its eyes and entire being. I was transfixed and felt completely at ease and even comforted in the presence of this wild animal. I followed it and felt an incredible sense of inner strength, and a sense of purpose and resolute resolve wash over me and radiate from within. It was like nothing that I had ever experienced, and it was both vivid and real in my mind. I met the same wolf spirit when I went through a guided meditation to meet my spirit guides - a service which I perform today for my clients for them to meet their spirit guides. When it came to meet me in that guided meditation session, it had a message for me - that all my trials and challenges had prepared me for a greater purpose in life, and I was being propelled by the strength and power of a wolf as well its protective instincts towards its own kind. I had my visions confirmed when I went to the Oconaluftee Indian Village in North Carolina, USA. The Oconaluftee Indian Village is a "living museum" replica of an 18th century eastern Native American Cherokee community that is managed by the Cherokee Historical Association. There, I met the descendants of the wolf clan of the Cherokee Indians at an area that was dedicated to the revival of weapon making using materials from nature. The wolf clan descendants saw me and held my gaze for quite some time before one of them spoke and said, "You're one of us". Indeed, you can have one power animal or more than one animal spirit guide throughout your life. And you may even have the support and galvanising love of a past pet who continues to walk by your side from the realm of spirits. It’s important to be aware that in most cases, you do not have control over which power animal or animals you work with. Rather, on the contrary, your power animal chooses you. If you’re wondering when you will finally meet your animal spirit guides, understand that they will make themselves known to you when they choose to do so and when the timing is right. Learning how to identify, encounter and communicate with your animal spirit guide is a powerful and transformational process which dates back to ancient times whereby the quest to meet and commune with one’s animal spirit guides and other spirit guides from the astral realm was integrated into one’s daily life and spiritual practice. However, modern man has become more individualistic, rational and skeptical of all things and phenomena unseen and unempirical. And it is through meditation and conscious conjuring of one’s animal spirit guides that one is likely to come face to face with his or her power animal. Very often, the universe communicates with us, not through voices in our head or psychic visions in our dreams, but through signs and symbols in our conscious and awakened state.
A client of mine, an American who works in the mining industry, had a curious and interesting experience when he was trying to find my place. Being from overseas and unfamiliar with the environment in Singapore, he said he got lost and went to a nearby building instead. While he was entering the lift to go back to the ground floor, a dog suddenly bounced into the lift and stayed put there. Worried that the owner of the dog would be looking for it, my client held the lift door open and true enough, a lady showed up and told him her dog had never done that before. As they started talking, my client learned that the dog owner was on her way to my building, and she graciously asked if he needed directions to my address. Another client of mine was running late for her appointment with me and prayed that she would find transport to reach my place in time. True enough, her bus pulled up at the bus stop as soon as she arrived there, and not only that, she could find a place to sit throughout the whole journey. Likewise, she was amazed and perplexed because that was the first time that she had been so lucky as to board a bus almost immediately and on top of that, find a seat on a crowded route that usually has standing room only. More recently, a client wanted desperately to get in touch with her deceased mother who passed away a few years ago but she was uncertain about the whole process of mediumship. I asked her to seek guidance from her mother through meditation and quiet reflection time on her own. And to place an open glass of water on her bedside before she went to bed that night - water is a conductor for psychic visions and a vital enabler for subconscious communication with one’s spirit guides and departed loved ones. Fascinatingly, my client dreamed of her mother appearing to her and asking her to scroll through text messages from her for an answer on whether she should undergo a mediumship session in order to communicate with her for the first time since her death. My client was shaken by that spiritual encounter and the very next morning, did what her mother had advised her to do. Each time she scrolled through her mother’s previous text messages, she landed on an “ok” reply from her mother for something else that is unrelated. By the third “ok”, she was entirely convinced and immediately confirmed her session with me. Needless to say, her mother came forward as anticipated and my client had a powerful and moving experience communicating with her and deriving answers to some unanswered and unresolved questions which had been plaguing her since her mother’s untimely death due to cancer. I too have had my fair share of epiphanies and signs from the universe. When I first embarked on my journey as a spiritualist, I asked Archangel Michael who is one of my spirit protectors and guides to demonstrate to me that he is watching over me and he is constantly by my side. The next day, I went to my car and found a white feather perfectly balanced on the hood despite a gust of wind all around. As the chief of all angels, Archangel Michael embodies all the strength, comfort and compassion of the divine. He is a very clear communicator, and those who are connected with him will likely hear his voice and guidance in their mind, or sense his presence and guidance as a gut feeling. But if you need a physical sign in the real world just to have assurance that his guidance and presence are real and ever present, you can ask him for a physical sign. You can say to him, either mentally or verbally, please send me a sign in the physical world that I may recognise and understand. You don’t have to specify what kind of sign you desire - the angels will decide. A white feather is one of the signs that Archangel Michael tends to send. Another physical sign that I once received was when I received help during a distressful situation from a stranger and Good Samaritan whose name turned out to be Michael. That left me in awe and wonder. Of late, I have been intrigued and amazed by the fact that I have been unscathed in a few incidents that should have left me with cuts, injuries and scars. For some reason, I kept breaking glass utensils and glass bottles in my bathroom and bedroom. This happened three times and all of the incidents took place right next to my feet. But while the glass shards flew and landed virtually everywhere, I found myself completely unaffected and unharmed, standing with total bewilderment in a sea of broken glass. The universe also communicates using numbers. You may keep seeing the same set of numbers on your clock, on sign boards, on car plates, and at the most random places and unexpected times. 333 implies that the ascended masters and higher beings are available and esoteric information is accessible. 444 means that a power house of angels are at hand to assist you or to try and get your attention. 1111 means that an opening to the higher realm is happening now and star energies are entering. 1212 has similar significance - not only is the portal to the higher realm opening but the angels are there to guide you on your journey. Or you could see Sylphs in the sky - air spirits that assume the form of mystical birds and creatures - just like the one in the key visual of this blog post which I sighted in Luang Prabang over the Mekong River while celebrating my husband's birthday with a sunset cruise. We could be surrounded by signs and guided by unseen spirits and guardian angels but unless we are able to “see” the signs - both optically and in our mind’s eye, and “intuit” and recognise them for what they are - we will miss those signs and continue to grope for meaning and direction. If you seek to deepen your connection with the universe and to tap into infinite and universal knowledge, work on connecting with your higher self, heightening your intuition and raising your vibrational energy. A most curious and interesting phenomenon took place over the weekend. I received requests from two clients to communicate with their deceased parents to seek closure and exchange last words with them. In other words, to have the farewell conversation that they never had.
The first client was tearful throughout our session. His father lapsed into unconsciousness after contracting pneumonia and before he slipped away into oblivion, his last words to his son were obtuse but implied that he finally knew what his son had been trying to tell him all along about his siblings and their hidden agenda. True to those words, soon after his death, my client’s family descended into a feud over the division of the patriarch’s assets. As the closest child, my client was cut up inside from missing his father and being accused of not honouring his father’s dying wishes. In our reading, my client’s father came forward and affirmed his identity by showing me his facial features and his attire in vivid detail. I told my client that his father wanted me to know that they had the same nose and he loved to wear white shirts. He confirmed both attributes to be accurate. My client then wanted to know why his father became withdrawn and despondent after he revealed to him the news that his wife had been diagnosed with cancer. His father said to me that he was distraught that his son might be without a spouse into his old age, and wouldn’t get to enjoy the marital bliss that he did with his wife. And so he dealt with it the best way that he knew how – he became more introspective but the news took a toll on his health which quickly deteriorated. Regarding the family dispute that he was facing, my client asked if his father had any message for him on what he should do. His father formed a pyramid with his hands and I conveyed the metaphorical meaning of that gesture. As a learned and intellectual man, his father had a way of communicating using metaphors and symbols. The pyramid represented his legacy – the pinnacle of what he could pass down to the surviving generation – and his father wanted my client to know that he inherited the best of his legacy and that was the real treasure-trove, not the physical assets that the siblings were squabbling over. The information came as a wave of relief for my client who said he had been troubled by the unhappiness that has been generated by the family dispute which made him question whether he was doing the right thing. His father’s message was a major reassurance that he was honouring his father’s legacy and last wishes. It brought further relief for him to know that his wife’s health condition was a test in his spiritual journey, and she would turn the corner and recover from this. The second client also sought closure with his deceased mother. He didn’t have a chance for last words with her as she passed away in solitude. I detected the cause of her death – gastro-intestinal and a poor diet – which he confirmed. And his mother appeared to me with her hair tied back and wearing a dark-coloured sari. I asked to see a photo of his mother after informing him about her appearance, and I received the affirmation that I was looking for. She always wore her hair that way. Interestingly, my client wanted to know what colour was her sari and she revealed chocolate and a dark shade as the colours of her attire. My client was pleasantly surprised because he had buried her in her favourite sari which was black with a chocolate lining, and it reassured him to know that she came to the reading donning that attire because he had received flak and disapproval from his relatives from dressing her in dark colours for her funeral. After determining the veracity of her identity, my client was very keen to know what messages she had for him. The prevalent sentiment that I felt was her immense sense of regret. She regretted the fact that she did not have a chance to say goodbye to her dear ones because she died alone. She regretted the fact that there was no closure for herself at the point of passing. She was also saddened by the feud that is taking place between my client and his brother, and that was when the plot thickened. Apparently, while she was alive, her other son was adamant that she lived with him in her own home. Upon her death, my client discovered that she had left her property to his brother in her will. And when confronted, my client’s brother was agitated and refused to speak to him, claiming that he was angry with him. The message from my client’s mother on this point was clear: ask the lawyer who drafted the will for a copy and scrutinise the fine print. As a spiritual practitioner who helps my clients to communicate with their departed loved ones, it was very illuminating for me to be able to make connection with those two spirits who had only recently crossed over and who were coming forward to a mediumship session for the first time since their passing. And it brought me great joy to be able to serve as a bridge and communication channel for their final conversations with their deceased parents, and to help them – children and parents in this and the other realm – to achieve the closure that they never had. We all know the definition of “healing”. It is the process of making someone well, sound, healthy and whole again. It is the process of recovering from illness, injury or disease. To become free of physical, emotional and/or psychological dysfunction, suffering and distress. In the Bible, God through his Son, Jesus Christ, performed many healing miracles. A Demoniac in a synagogue at Capernaum (Mark 1:23 – 1:28); A mute man possessed by a demon (Matthew 9:32 – 34); Gentile woman with a demoniac daughter in the region of Tyre and Sidon (Matthew 15:21 – 28); A Deaf Man with speech impediment from the region of the Ten Cities (Mark 7:31 – 37); Peter's Mother-in-Law (fever) in Capernaum (Luke 4:38 -39); Paralytic (palsy) at Capernaum (Matthew 9:2 – 8), to name just a few examples. Few doubted the existence and harmful effects of demonic beings and negative entities. According to the Bible, those who had witnessed the acts of healing and the casting out of demons by Jesus Christ were astounded and amazed, many had their faith affirmed and re-ignited. How exactly did he help the blind to see again, the paralysed and lame to walk again, and even the dead to rise again? From all accounts in the Bible, Jesus Christ did not administer modern-day pharmaceutical drugs, order a blood transfusion nor use a scalpel or hook the afflicted whom he helped onto machines. I believe he used good old-fashioned spiritual healing which involves channelling healing energy from the universe or interchangeably the Divine Being, and he harnessed every ounce of his faith in each miraculous act of healing. In today's modern and rationalist world, we deny the existence of demonic attacks, demon possession and attachments by negative entities. Not only is it superstitious to acknowledge their existence, it is heretic to even suggest that such afflictions can be healed. In today's modern and rationalist world, we believe in doctors who tell us that there is no cure for a patient who is beyond a certain point of recovery via means of pharmacological, surgical or rehabilitative intervention. Brain damage from a stroke or traumatic brain injury is irreversible. We have no choice but to medicate such patients for life or to institutionalise them for life. I have helped to treat people whom the medical establishment had written off as beyond hope, redempion and recovery. My husband, who had lapsed into a three-month coma after a motorbike accident, is one of them. None of the doctors who had treated him at the time of the accident could believe his rate of recovery. A friend of mine told me about her family's predicament over her father's condition. The once-cheerful and chatty elderly man, Mr Liew, who is 80, suffered multiple strokes over the course of three to four years, and could barely speak, couldn't walk without the aid of a walking-frame nor stay out of bed for more than two hours at a time when I first started to treat him. However, he stayed alert throughout nearly four hours, including two hours of Reiki and crystal healing with me. I also invited Archangel Michael (Hebrew for "Who is like God" and Chief of all Angels) and Archangel Raphael (Hebrew for "It is God who heals") to intercede and heal Mr Liew. Mr Liew called his daughter to say “hello” the very next day, and began to walk without his walking-frame within that same week. In less than one week, the family managed to bring him out for a family lunch and his daughter told me he seemed more cheerful than before. For details, please refer to the testimonial from Lilian in the Empathy section of this website. Scroll below to view a video of my friend's father and one of his first attempts to walk without a walking-frame after my Reiki healing session with him. And just two weeks ago, a client came to me with an inexplicable pain in the left side of her body, particularly at the area of her shoulder and upper back. For years, she had gone to see doctor after doctor, and underwent scan after scan, medical examination after medical examination. They couldn't identify the source of her ailment. And while they didn't outrightly declare her symptoms as hallucinatory or delusional, they did tell her to just rest well, eat right, exercise regularly and keep monitoring her health. As soon as I had cleansed her aura, I saw an entity attached to the left side of her body where her left shoulder is located. It was the entity of a young child who seemed lost and had clung onto her for security. But the attachment was draining my client's lifeforce – either knowingly or unknowingly (more likely the latter) – and left my client in constant pain and physically depleted most of the time. I sent the entity away into the place of confinement and womb of transformation. Within seconds, as soon as I saw that the entity had left my client's side, she was feeling immensely relieved and free from pain again. She is still free from pain and experiences none of her previous symptoms today. The 21st century tech-savvy person is quick to follow every larger-than-life move and sentence uttered by celebrity bloggers online, and believes most of what he or she sees and reads on the Internet including fake news. But when it comes to acts of faith and healing of the spiritual kind which are sublime and intangible to the naked eye, the modern man is quick to judge. But healing isn't just about cleansing one's aura, measuring the health of one's chakras and constant meditation while one's cancer cells are rapidly metastasizing. Very often, for healing to be effective and complete, it has to take place at all levels of mind, body and soul. Go for that MRI scan, undergo surgery if you must, continue to take your medication and believe in the power of juicing and unprocessed food, by all means. But you may yet find a wonder cure in unseen healing. My first thought at the dawn of the new year was whether I have adequately thanked everyone in my life whom I need to express my gratitude for being the angels in my life, offering comfort and solace in my darkest hour and shining their light of guidance and wisdom on the path of my soul's journey.
Embarking on the new year with a sense of appreciation and gratitude for what you have and accomplished helps you to kick off the new year on a positive and satisfactory note. Your consciousness expands and your heart chakra is re-energised when you fill your heart with pure thankfulness for all that the universe has bestowed on you - be it your health, your material possessions, your day-to-day triumphs, or your beloved family and friends. There’s also mounting evidence that gratitude makes you a more satisfied, happier, less stressed or depressed person. Grateful people sleep more soundly because they are less plagued by negative thoughts at night. They also have the can-do attitude and more constructive ways of coping with life’s challenges. For most people, a new year presents the possibility that things will somehow be better. In other to actualise such aspirations, the mind must adopt an attitude and state of consciousness that is expectant of improvement, both inwardly and outwardly, and willing to take the necessary actions to give energy to one's thoughts. Remember that energy flows where attention goes. Be mindful of your thoughts with the awareness that you are a conduit for attracting either positive or negative energies, and that intention manifests actions and outcomes. Mind your language and change the mental script that keeps replaying in your mind. For instance, if you're constantly wallowing in self pity and keep telling yourself you don't deserve a better partner or a better job because you're just not enough, then destroy that self-abusive audio tape that has been playing on loop in your head. Always remember that while we can't change what happens to us, and have no control over other people's actions and reactions, we can control how we ourselves react to our external environment. Every soul has a purpose, we all have a soul purpose in this time and space continuum that we now occupy. By enhancing your intuition and deepening your attunement with your Higher Self and connection with your spirit guides and ultimately, the universe, you'll develop an understanding of your soul purpose and come to terms with your experiences and soul journey. What kind of experiences do you need to or even must undergo; and what are the lessons that you need to learn in this lifetime order to evolve and consequently attain your last incarnation? Detox - in every sense. Physically...and with the bombardment of health and wellness tips on the internet and mainstream media, you already know what to do. Psychically...by removing attachments to people who emanate negative energy and constantly sprout and embody pessimism, and who are "psychic vampires" feeding on your energy with their seemingly never-ending problems and concerns, and who plague you for your attention, precious time and 24 by 7 emotional support. On that note, Happy New Year and let's usher in and celebrate the New You! One of my most moving experiences conducting a reading for a friend and fellow practitioner was coming up close with Buddha who first appeared in his pre-enlightenment self as Siddharta Gautama and then again in his post-enlightenment self. In the former state, Buddha appeared in a sitting position wearing dark saffron robes, hunched over and appearing weary of the world, Samsara. In the latter state, he was full of vitality and energy, strong and victorious. My friend confirmed that he has had visions of the former Buddha - in a sitting position wearing dark saffron robes. But not of the post-enlightenment Buddha. He was just as astonished and visibly moved by the whole encounter as I was. The post-enlightenment Buddha had a message for my friend - he had been yearning for a breakthrough in his spiritual development and had done virtually everything within his ability but "enlightenment" continued to elude him. Buddha's message to him was he had to demand enlightenment. Pronounce his intentions to the universe and do not buckle until he attains that spiritual breakthrough and pinnacle.
Interestingly, Buddha himself demanded enlightenment. Here's how Buddha demanded enlightenment when he became frustrated at the fact that the ultimate wisdom remained elusive. He sat under a banyan tree in Bodh Gaya and vowed not to rise from meditation until he attained enlightenment. After what many believe to be 49 days, he became enlightened. During those 49 days, Mara the chief of all demons, put all kinds of obstacles in his path. When Mara demanded the throne of enlightenment is his to claim and not a mortal like Buddha, he challenged the Buddha and asked who's his witness. Buddha touched his hand to the ground and asked the earth to bear witness to his enlightenment which it did, thus banishing Mara. And soon a picture of all that occurred in the universe began to form in his mind and Buddha finally saw the answers to the questions that he had been seeking for so many years. In that moment of pure enlightenment, Siddhartha Gautama became the Buddha. Once, I had a client who came to see me regarding an on-off relationship with a man. She was already married but had an inexplicable yearning and irresistible connection with this other man. And no matter how hard she had tried to break off her illicit relationship with her paramour, she couldn't. Throughout the reading, I saw her spirit guide standing behind her like a towering figure. She had long black hair and straight bangs - styled like an Egyptian - and penetrating eyes encircled by black kohl. In fact, she looked just like my client who similarly kept her dark hair long with a straight fringe and wore onyx black eyeliner. I asked my client if her main spirit guide is Isis and she confirmed it. As she emulates and prays to Isis, she has grown to bear a striking resemblance with Isis. As my client described her feelings for her lover, I kept hearing the letter, "O" repeating in a deep and thunderous voice. And then I saw another spirit guide - imposing and regal - on her right, next to Isis. That was when I realised that Isis' husband, Osiris, was also present at the reading. And what I was looking at was a soulmate or twin flame connection between my client and her lover. Isis and Osiris are one of the most star-crossed lovers in ancient Egyptian mythology. The myth of Isis and Osiris depicts the transformative power of love. For over three thousand years, before 3000 BC to the second century AD, Isis was worshiped in Egypt as the mother goddess of the universe. She had two brothers, Osiris and Set. Osiris was responsible for the fertile soil and Set ruled the barren desert. When they were of age, the sun god Ra married Isis to Osiris. Isis and Osiris were blissful in their union. As rulers, they were peace-loving and benevolent, and brought forth abundant food from the rich Egyptian soil and the fertile Nile. Set resented the respect and honour that were bestowed upon them by their people. Jealousy ate at his soul. He trapped Osiris in a coffin and heaved him into the waters of the Nile. Devastated, Isis transformed herself into a bird and flew everywhere looking for her beloved husband. She found the coffin embedded inside a tree which had grown around it over time. Isis hid the coffin from Set. But when Set found out, he stole Osiris from Isis, and cut his brother’s body into 14 pieces, which he scattered all over Egypt. Isis remained emboldened by her devotion to Osiris. She journeyed up and down the Nile in a papyrus boat, searching relentlessly for the fragments of her husband’s body. Years passed before she found each and every dismembered piece. When she did, Isis placed each piece of Osiris next to the other, and joined them with wax and gold. Then, through the power of her love, the mother goddess of the universe resurrected Osiris for a final embrace. That resulted in Isis conceiving a child. Their son, Horus, the falcon-headed god, was among the most important gods of Egypt, particularly because the Pharaoh was supposed to be his earthly embodiment. I encountered another pair of star-crossed soulmates in another reading for a client who was relatively young, about to graduate from university but whose parents were pressuring her to marry someone she didn't know through match-making. She's bright and brilliant, and was aspiring to complete her business studies to work in her father's textile company but didn't want to be seen as a threat to her older brother who was the heir-apparent of the family business. Hence, she was of the view that if she was to marry the man whom her parents wanted her to wed as their astrological signs matched and he came from a well-to-do family which is also in the textile business, she would be able to please her family and contribute to the family business albeit in a secondary capacity. However, that would be against her will and desire, and this was confirmed through our tarot reading which revealed that the man of her dreams is an intellectual man who pursues spirituality and profound knowledge, not a businessman. As reading progressed, I saw her spirit guide coming forward and it was bemusing when I ascertained his identity. He was Hanuman, the monkey God from the Hindu religious myth, Ramayana. In Ramayana, the revered ancient Sanskrit epic, Rama, prince of Ayodhya, wins the hand of the beautiful princess Sita but is exiled with her and his brother, Laksmana, for 14 years through a plot by his stepmother. In the forest, Sita is abducted by Ravana, the demon king of Lanka who has 10 heads and 20 arms. Rama gathers an army of monkeys and bears to search for her. They attack Lanka, overpower Ravana, and rescue Sita. In order to prove her chastity, Sita enters fire, but is vindicated by the gods and restored to her husband. After the couple's triumphant return to Ayodhya, Rama's righteous rule (Ram-raj) inaugurates a golden age for all mankind. Hanuman is the wise and resourceful monkey who helps Rama in his quest to defeat Ravana and rescue Sita. Rama is only able to free his wife Sita from the demon because of the aid of Hanuman. It is Hanuman who makes it possible for Sita to be rescued, and for Rama and Sita to be reunited. My client's spirit guide, Hanuman, was there to remind my client to hold fast to her belief of being with her soulmate and rejecting all pretences of love or temptations in the meantime. If my client was to marry someone through match-making, as a marriage of convenience, she would be trapped in the wilderness of that gilded cage where happiness and fulfilment would elude her. I conveyed these messages to my client and when I finished, I saw the relief in her eyes. She had known intuitively what would be the right thing to do but needed affirmation and the courage to choose the right course of action and path for herself. I expect to meet the occasional client whose main interest in organizing a session with me is to test my innate abilities. This is especially so because I don’t request for advance information such as date of birth, gender, nationality and nature of the request for a reading from a client.
I had a client recently who came in prepared with a long list of test questions. When the session commenced, he merely said he wished to communicate with his deceased father. I asked for his permission to read which is the numero uno and uncompromising rule of ethics that I apply to every reading, and together, we invited his spirit guides, ancestors and departed loved ones to come forward. I was very moved when I saw an image of his father who resembles my client in terms of appearance. My client verified this and then went on to ask me to ask his father for information about a former father-and-son activity that he misses most. I saw an image of a vehicle in motion, and I heard his father telling me, “road trips”. After communicating this to the client, he was reasonably pleased with the response and again verified that one of their favourite leisure activities together was to go on long road trips. He then asked me what else. I sought the information from his father and then relayed the response. Rugby, I said. Again, my client smiled. He said his father had taught him how to play rugby and was his coach from young. You would think by then we have sufficient information on this subject matter. But my client pressed on, asking what else. I asked his father, who was positioned behind his son on his right side, the question. This time, I received no information. I informed my client that his father wasn’t providing additional information on this matter and that was when he became cross with me. I explained to him that healers are conduits and channels for information from departed loved ones, spirits and spirit guides. Professional and ethical healers strive to be pure conduits and do not make up information just to placate their sitters or the persons receiving the messages. The next test question came immediately after that. What is the name of my current girlfriend?, he asked. I said, “Do you not know the answer to that question?”. And his reply was, “I want to know if my father knows her name”. This leads to an interesting question about why we sometimes struggle with names and can only provide the first letter or initials in some instances. Spirits, when they communicate with us, do not always speak in whole sentences and when probed for information, sometimes respond with ideas and images rather than well-articulated and spelled out text. Not all spirits are conversational either. I’ve had departed loved ones who come forward in sessions only to stand behind the sitter/client with occasional gesticulations and no words uttered. In this instance, I was keen to receive an answer from his father and what came was a letter and his father told me that the name that she goes by, which begins with that letter, is a shortened version of a fuller name. I duly conveyed that to my client and was met with a bright smile and look of “eureka”. He confirmed that her name indeed starts with that letter and it is an abbreviated version of a longer name. At that point, his father was no longer content with just answering test questions. He said to me, “This girlfriend is good for him and will make him happy. The relationship will last, unlike his previous relationships.” Spirit guides and departed loved ones, when they come forward in a reading, are motivated by a compelling desire to send messages of love, courage, encouragement, support and hope. But the test continued. The next question centred on a new and significant development within the family. My test was to tell the client what was that new development. An image of his father holding the hand of a toddler entered my mind. I asked him if there is anyone really young in the family whom his father was or is close to, and his immediate answer was no. But the image persisted and then I reiterated, it could be someone who is really very young. Your father is very attached to this child and he is concerned about the health of your sister in relation to this. He wants you to let her know that he is watching over them and she has to take good care of her health. That was when my client acknowledged that his sister had just given birth and it was a difficult delivery from which she was still recovering. Our session continued with more questions and each time, I channelled answers from his father. One of his father’s responses in reaction to his question about messages that he might have for his mother was delightfully surprising and somewhat amusing. That was when I could feel the walls of doubt around my client finally dissolving to a certain extent. While such tests tend to put the healer under palpable pressure, a well-meaning healer will keep his or her cool and maintain grace under fire, and best endeavour to rise to the occasion. It’s important to let your client know and understand that healers who put themselves out there to be conduits for messages of love and positivity from your spirit guides and departed loved ones are motivated to do just that – serve as an accurate, reliable and responsible interface or mode of communication between you and them, and provide comfort, assurance and messages that will help you to attain your highest good and greatest soul purpose. The new normal:
What a day of memories this has been! We tend to think of memory as being closely associated and triggered by places, people, objects, scents (or odours), images, conversations, the wind or breeze, the languid movement of clouds above us, the list goes on. But when you are recovering from TBI or traumatic brain injury as my husband, Mathew, is, your memories are submerged and potentially lost in the recesses of your mind because the pathways in your brain have been dramatically damaged or altered. While these pathways are rewiring themselves, memories - snippets or chunks - may slip back one day most unexpectedly. They are visceral and there is nothing concrete to peg them to. But you will recognise these memories to be true, to be real. The stirring is deep and undeniable, and penetrate your soul. My husband had an epiphany today. The memory of his accident came back to him in a flash. What went through his mind minutes before his accident, the sequence of events as they unfolded, his mental and emotional state. Powerful recollections, though not as impactful as the blow that his brain, and memories, endured when his head hit the ground and he lost consciousness. Three and a half years after the accident, we are still recovering and recollecting the memories that were lost. But the sagely adage, life goes on, rings true and sound. Everyday, we learn how to live with what I term, the new normal. It's the now normal. Holding steadfastly to the past when reality and circumstances have already morphed is not only impractical but it also causes pain. Many of my clients come to me when they are at breaking point. Their pain is all-consuming, and they are unable to let go of what's dead and gone, and embrace the new normal. Embrace the new normal. Look around you, focus your mind on the present, observe and absorb the information that your five or six senses are feeding you. Understand who you are, where you are, and live in the now. Everything in the universe happens for a reason. Even random events that appear uncorrelated.
The infinite wisdom of the cosmos and the Divine far surpasses human understanding, and many have looked up upon the celestial realm and wondered about the origin of life and perennial question about the meaning of life; and the interconnections between Creation and the universal cycle of birth, illness and disease, and death. From my own personal experiences and my experience as a lightworker, I know for an undeniable fact that we are all guided by the Divine and spirit guides to attain our highest good and soul purpose. Every soul incarnates as light-filled beings and imbued specific missions that it chose prior to birth. We agreed to abide by soul contracts before our etheric spirit entered this physical realm and body, and the events and experiences which we encounter on this earth plane enhance the soul's original contract. Throughout the course of our existence on this earth plane, our guides do their utmost to ensure that we complete our incarnation successfully. But sometimes it may take several lifetimes for us to learn the lessons that we need to learn in order for our soul to evolve. Regardless, although our soul contracts govern and determine the events and situations that occur in our lives, they do not decide how we will respond. That is the realm of free will and in making choices through the way we choose to respond to these given events and situations, we grow in knowledge of ourselves and are closer to our spiritual awakening. For enlightenment is the purpose of life. So when life throws us a curve-ball, what do we do? Lament and blame it on life's unpredictability and randomness or realise that it is an integral unravelling of our soul contract and life plan? I became a lightworker after a traumatizing event which changed the course of my life and triggered the most enlightening spiritual awakening that I have ever experienced. My ex-fiancé left me two days before our wedding and then met with a terrible accident which left him with severe traumatic brain injury, memory loss and physical impairment. I was devastated and in my grief, sought the guidance and help of spiritual healers and psychics. I also became more introspective, and looked inward for reasons and answers for my seemingly impossible situation. Through deep soul-searching, meditation and spiritual development, my psychic abilities came to the fore. The ordeal also changed the life of my ex-fiancé irreversibly. After the accident, and six months of being in a comatose and vegetative state, he is a changed person. He now embraces spirituality more than before. And we are now married as better and more evolved individuals. |
