Yoga in the Heart of Nature
Yoga Citta Vritti Nirodhah.
Yoga is the cessation (nirodhah) of the modifications of the mind field.
Yoga is the regulation of the fluctuations of the conscious mind.
Sattva shuddhi saumanasysa ekagra indriya-jaya atma darshana yogyatvani cha.
Purity of consciousness allows mastery of the senses by focusing the mind inward, allowing for self consciousness.
The root word of “yoga” is “yug” and the meaning of “yug” is “yolk”.
Yoga means to join or union. The goal of yoga is the unification of the external and internal selves.
Only if you move out of the body, will you understand everything of the body. Only if you move out of the mind, will you understand everything about the mind.
In yoga, the body is a sheath of consciousness.
In my regular Yoga in the Heart of Nature series of workshops, we will explore yoga in its natural state, and cover the practical and theoretical aspects of this ancient practice.
You will learn both hatha and ashtanga yoga poses or asanas through proper alignment of your body; “drishti” or the points of gaze and concentration of each pose, and power breathing techniques.
You will learn how to use the “ujjayi” breath – the warrior breath, and how to harness the unlimited power and energy of the universe through pranayama- the practice of controlling your breath which is the source of your prana or vital life force.
During the course of the workshop, we will also undergo auric cleansing, chakra meditation and chakra rebalancing.

REIKI LEVEL 1 WORKSHOP AND ATTUNEMENT
This level introduces the Reiki initiate to Reiki energy – the universal life force energy – and encompasses the history and origin, principles and applications of Reiki energy. The initiate will learn about the aura and chakra system, and the power and flow of the healing energy of the universe on four levels – physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.
Participants will be taught the procedures and hand positions for self healing. They will also experience sensations before and after Reiki attunement, and practise self healing. At this level, the attunement opens the initiate to the flow of Reiki energy.
The focus is on learning how to become a clear channel for Reiki who does not allow his or her ego or will to interfere in the healing and therapeutic process. The initiate will learn the importance of being detached from the outcome, and becoming a clear vessel through which the healing energy flows so as to attain the highest good for his or her client.
What is Reiki?
The three levels of Reiki
The history of Reiki and Reiki today
Reiki principles
The benefits of Reiki and its applications
Overview of the Reiki attunement process
Reiki and its connection with the energy of the universe
Reiki and your aura and etheric body
The chakra system
How do you sensitise your hands for scanning
Grounding techniques; Protection techniques; Cleansing techniques
Invocation and prayer
Self-healing: procedures and hand positions
REIKI LEVEL 2 WORKSHOP AND ATTUNEMENT
Reiki level 2, also known as the second degree Reiki, is the professional practitioner’s level and it focuses on becoming a professional Reiki practitioner, distance healing and space clearing.
Distance healing allows the healer to heal another person without them being present at the same place while space clearing purges and removes negativities from a location such as a house, an office or a shop, etc.
While Reiki level 1 is about self-healing and sensing the energy, in Reiki level 2, you learn to deepen the quality of the flow of energy and consciously call the energy – the energy of the symbols is consciously directed by you as the healer for specific purposes. Having developed the attitude of “compassionate detachment from outcomes” at level 1, the level 2 student is provided with a number of symbolic tools which enable them to set intentions and broaden the scope of their therapeutic interventions.
In Reiki level 2, you will learn three sacred symbols. You will learn how to write them, when to use them and how to consciously direct their energy during healing. You will also receive a level 2 attunement after which Reiki energy will flow dramatically, and take turns to heal other participants and share your experiences.
NOTE: All Reiki workshop participants who successfully complete their programme will be issued a certificate which is conferred by the International Center for Reiki Training (ICRT) and The Metaphysics Alliance.
