I will always remember – the indelible memory is seared into my consciousness – my first encounter with angels.
I was crying while meditating in my bedroom. It was my husband’s birthday and he was in a comatose state. He was involved in a motorcycle accident that left him in a coma for three months. The prognosis by the doctors who were among the best in Australia was bleak. I was advised to move on. Yet I refused to accept that. I was learning Reiki in Singapore and then the United States to send distance healing energy to my husband who was hospitalised in Australia. I was praying to God every day. On the night of my husband’s birthday, I saw them for the first time in my life. There were three of them and they surrounded me in my bed. They were iridescent beings and extraordinarily beautiful – more beautiful than anything I had ever laid eyes on. Their skin was the colour of peach and glowing. They appeared to have wings but those were the outline of their brilliant and ultra bright aura. In the Christian bible, only two types of angels have wings: cherubim (Exodus 25:20; Ezekiel 10) and seraphim (Isaiah 6). They were wearing loose flowing garments that seemed to be lighted up from within with exquisite whiteness, and an otherworldly shine and shimmer. And I also noticed that they were rather androgynous – I couldn’t tell if they were male or female. The expression on their faces was the most compassionate and benign that I have ever encountered. I experienced an instant wave of peace and comfort sweep over me, and I was cocooned in the most loving embrace that was not of this world. They continued to hover over me until I felt a strong and reassuring grip on my wrists – it was as if one of the angels had gripped my hands to remind me that they were protecting and watching over me. That I wouldn’t fall and they were there to support and galvanise me. The next time that I would feel that strong and uncompromising grip again was when I embarked on a past life regression through time and space, and felt some fear and apprehension as I whizzed past foreign landscapes at an incredible speed and height. I felt the grip of an angel who spoke to me and said do not fear, you are safe with me. I thanked them earnestly with tears rolling down my face and when they left, I felt immense calm and indescribable joy. I had a vision of my husband returning to me – healed and whole again. And I saw our life together in the future which has since become an everyday reality. From then on, I have had daily contact with angels. Archangel Michael – the Chief of Angels – comes immediately to my aid and protection when I call upon him, whether for myself, my loved ones or my clients, and I feel and see with my mind’s eye his luminous and dazzling white and blue light. Archangel Raphael – whose name means God heals – appears just as quickly with his healing green light which washes over gently as it soothes and restores all ailing beings. Archangel Gabriel whose name literally translates as “God is my strength”. They are the only three angels who are mentioned by name in the Bible. Our guardian angels are always waiting close by to help but they always need explicit permission from us before they can assist or intervene. To ask for angelic help, you only need to vocalise a simple prayer in your own words. As with every angel prayer, always start your prayer with ‘please’ and always end it with ‘thank you’ and add as many details as you need to mention. If you need help within a particular timeframe, then it is important for the angels to know this.
